DECEMBER 2017
Infrastructure: Low facilities for product development, intervention and development hurdles in the growth along with difficulties in accessing the domestic and foreign market. Moreover the stiff competition from MNCs
Technology: Lack of technology know how, less access to modern management practices, Obsolescence of technology and lack awareness on technology transfer effects the growth of sector adversely.
Market: Issues with commercialization of products, less linkage with market, lack of competitiveness and weak business development services makes the products of MSMEs least competitive
Skilled Labor: Artisan’s and workers are paid less which forced them to quit their professions, lack of skill up gradation and less absorptive capacity of employees when skill upgraded effects labor.
There is a need on focus of skilled based training and entrepreneurship development program with the objective to formalize the sector on devising innovative policy and schemes. We need to create a friendly ecosystem by joining hands with all stake holders. Hub -economics (Tendency of operation based on hub) and PPP-models (Public private Partnership model) could serve the sector more effectively
On giving enough opportunities to the rural workforce through MSMEs, they can act as the backbone of existing and future growth of economy in a large scale.
