SKILLS DAY CELEBRATION

GSHSS SULTHAN BATHERY SDC

July 15 is declared as World Youth Skills Day by the United Nations, with a goal to achieve suitable socio-economic conditions enabling present day youth to face the challenges of unemployment and under employment.

Additional Skill Acquisition Programme (ASAP) intends to develop and explore the skills among the youth and as part of World Youth Skills Day celebration, 6 ASAP institutions under Sulthan Bathery SDC organized several events under the leadership of ASAP club students to celebrate and exhibit their skills. Amalgamation of the talents and creativity of the students turned the celebration to its peak. Each institutions conducted different and unique programmes to bring forward the skills and talents of the student emphasing on the motto “Skill for All”.

In most of the institutions these activities grabbed the attention of the plus one students which will definitely help the new students to know about ASAP and its activities. So before the orientation process the students will be aware of the ASAP. Complete cooperation from the institution faculties, SDEs and students helped a lot to conduct the programmes successfully at various locations. The ASAP students ensured the participation of even the teachers in their activities which got a good appreciation. The coordination skill of the students were excellent. The exhibition stalls arranged at various institutions was so informative that it gave a clear idea for the students and faculties about what exactly the ASAP students are getting from the ASAP classes. These programmes gave really a good opportunity for the students to showcase their talent and skills in different fields. The competition like pencil drawing, collage making, essay writing, quiz, poster making etc. showed that the students are really talented. Prizes were distributed for the winners and all the participants were congratulated by the authorities. Most of the competitions was open for all and so got a wide reach for the programmes at the respective schools.
