This was the time JSS came in our area with an objective of empowering the women and making them self -sufficient and sustainable by teaching them various skills in a systematic way. I enrolled for their beautician training program and attended the classes regularly. There I started enjoying my life again. I experienced the shutters infront of me were wide opened and I witnessed a broad colorful world which revolve around. The trainer over there was a Muslim and she gave me a new ray of hope and encouraged me to take up beautician as a career.

As I completed my course, I got a lot of job offers from various parlors. But my in-laws were not happy about it. They did not want me to take up any job. But my husband held as a pillar of support and he encouraged me to take up the job. He was with the view that knowledge and skills to be used on the right platform. Because of his strong support I started working for some parlors. I learnt the profession and how to develop it as a business. After a few years, I started my own parlor “LIWA”.

In the course of life, I realized that education is an important factor in determining our success and social status. So with my family’s strong advice and support, I prepared for SSLC exam once again at the age of 35. Being a mother of 2 children, I successfully completed SSLC with my elder daughter in the same year. Now I am preparing for Plus Two Equivalence exam.

Apart from running my own parlor, I am working as a beautician trainer at ASAP and IL&FS partnership. Now I am proud that I am self-sufficient. I encourage all the readers to realize your interest and nurture them; make use of all the available opportunities that come to your way. Every chance we get is a chance to win, its upto us how to make use of it and reap benefits out of it
