We ’ ve Reached £ 1 Million !

Principal ’ s Scholarship Supports Deserving Students

Eight deserving Fife College students have had an amazing start to their degree studies this year after being awarded a Principal ’ s Degree Scholarship and the share of £ 6,000 .
Fife College Principal , Jim Metcalfe , was delighted to meet the students and present them with their certificates at a special event held at the College ’ s Dunfermline Campus recently .
The popular annual scholarship was created to support students as they move on to degree studies either with Fife College , university or elsewhere . The funds are used by students to support them with a range of things they need including travel , books , software , tech and fees .
The eight students are : Andrew Hayter , Stacey Vaggers , Billy Underwood , Andrew McCall , Sarah Haldane , Callum Greig , Justine McIvor and Amber McKenzie – Amber was unable to attend on the day .
Billy Underwood from Leven : BA Creative Enterprise – “ Wow ... thank you for this scholarship , this will help me buy equipment that will help my business get bigger and better . I have worked really hard on my studies , it ’ s good to know it all pays off . Thanks again .”
Fife College students have benefited from over £ 1 million in scholarship awards over the last 25 years .
To celebrate this special £ 1 million milestone , the College has announced a new scholarship – the Adam Smith 300 Enterprise Scholarship .
Created in partnership with Fife Council ’ s Economic Development team , OnFife and Business Gateway Fife , the new scholarship was launched on the day of Adam Smith ’ s 300th anniversary in June this year .
