to the soil – that’s the whole point of my songs. The same message is running through everything. Do you feel like you’re a voice for the animals? Yes, I want to be. There are many voices for the animals; it’s not that I claim to be a voice for the animals. I think everyone can be a voice for the animals and they don’t even need to be, if they just respect them and see them not as commodities but as being equal to us. Who said that we’re above them? Just because we build fancy cars and can do math does that mean we’re above them? They speak a different language and see things differently, but we’re equal. What other recordings and concerts do you have coming up this year? Following Gallipoli I’ll be releasing the song “Ordinary” worldwide, which was also recorded in Istanbul in 2014 – it’s really about freedom through intimacy overcoming oppression, with Istanbul’s Taksim Square protests as a basis. I also hope to be in LA and Brazil this year recording two new albums. One about humanity’s place on our earth done to a 60’s Cool Jazz feel, and the other (in Brazil) more introspective and closer to original bossa. I also have a Christmas album (but a very different one) and a children’s album as ideas. But as always, these things chop and change. In terms of concerts I’ve got a jazz show called “A Cozy Night In” which I wrote, and that’s with Nichaud Fitzgibbon. The two of us put together this show and we’re now going to tour it across the country. I’ve also got a few festivals in Japan and I’ve been invited to go on tour in Brazil. UPDATE: The Gallipoli single has now been released. How do you balance these two aspects of your life – being a musician and a lawyer? www.adamdunning.com I have no idea. They are both kind of hard work really. One requires being mega creative, and then you have the law that is far, far away in another corner of my brain, somewhere. I suppose in entertainment law it is easier as you are already prepared for the egos and have an idea how to deal with them (sometimes). Along the line however, music and law do complement each other, whether it be managing the business of music, or trying to be creative in defending an action in court... Although I’ve come really close, I’ve yet to sing to a judge. www.facebook.com/adamdunningmusic www.chanceofficial.com Facebook: www.facebook.com/pages/ChanC%C3%A9/293330 387406670?fref=ts Twitter: www.twitter.com/adamdunningoff www.twitter.com/sansintuzun
