Well that's a good question. In 2014 Tasmanian based artist David Edgar held three solo exhibitions, contributed work to a few group shows, travelled overseas and held his first exhibition abroad in Boston USA, was shortlisted as a finalist in a number of Australian art prizes, including having a work acquired by the Kedumba Drawing Prize, and commenced a PhD at the University of Tasmania - in an attempt to discover more about himself, his art practice and the above question. "2014 was a busy year. Whilst in Boston I discovered a vibrant art scene and the wonders of US artist Marilyn Minter. In Cannes, France I visited the site of my favourite film festival and was inspired to look in more detail at the form of great film. Back home in the studio I explore these and many other experiences by creating landscapes with a psychological bent to them", he says. "These are landscapes of ideas in the mind that pl
