realized that I actually had to work opposite
these two ever-talented actors.
Fortunately, both Jared and Jensen are
complete gentlemen, and were very welcoming
to me as a new-comer on the show. They were
generous with their time and their knowledge,
and even had me laughing to the point of tears.
The set of Supernatural was such a warm and
wonderful environment for me as an actor to
really explore and play with my character.
The shoot itself was over so very quickly!
With minimal takes of each shot, the scene was
complete in what seemed like no time at all.
Feeling a little anxious about the fast paced
turnover, I turned to a fellow actor and asked for
his opinion. He reassured me that they wouldn‟t
have wrapped unless they were happy with the
footage. Taking my friends words of wisdom to
heart, I realized that I had to surrender myself
completely to the project and to the director‟s
vision. The creative process of filmmaking truly
does require trust and sacrifice from all cast and
crew. And that was precisely the experience I
had on Supernatural. A completely harmonious
and respectful creative work environment.
After the shoot there were a few anxious
weeks of waiting to see the final cut of the
episode. When it aired I was overwhelmed by
the outpouring of support I received from friends
and family, and even complete strangers. I
