You release your music through your own label, Buckle Up Entertainment. Was it difficult to establish your own label? Well my label consists of a team of hard-working people and together we’ve achieved all of this. It comes down to trust, dedication and hard work.
It was very eye-opening for me, as I do most of my writing by myself, so to be in a room with different personalities and ideas, it was challenging but amazing all at the same time. I learned that there really isn’t a set way to writing a record, everyone is different.
Can you choose any of your songs that has the most personal meaning for you? Probably “Loved You for So Long” and “Unbreakable.”
Could you name your top 5 personal favourite songs by other artists? This is hard but: The Way You Make Me Feel – Michael Jackson As an artist from an independent label, does it give you more creative freedom? Most definitely, that’s why my music has been so honest. In 2012 you were invited to LA to write along with major artists, producers and song-writers. Can you tell us more about this experience, and the things you accomplished there?
