The Grand Challenges lecture
series offers an exciting range
of interdisciplinary perspectives
on today’s major intellectual
and societal question From the
social and environmental effects
of climate change to the impact
of technology on humans and
their relationships, we face
challenges that endanger basic
human needs, disrupt the ways
we organise and live in our
communities and influence life
chances and opportunities.
The choices we make, the
priorities we choose and the
ways that we seek to deliver
them, shape lives and futures.
Traditional disciplines alone
cannot provide the answers
and so we look towards the
innovative activity on the
boundaries of fields across the
humanities, social sciences,
natural sciences and health
Our speakers are invited to
share their research, expertise
and experience to provoke,
and inspire fresh thinking for
the problems facing us in the
world today. Find out more about
