Retirements
Two of the museum’ s longestserving employees mark their last year at the Chazen in 2018. Jerl Richmond, senior preparator,
Jerl Richmond retired in July after 25 years of designing exhibitions and making them come alive with artful lighting. Jerl also mentored scores of student workers during his tenure at the Chazen including our current preparators Kate Wanberg and Brett Stageman.
Drew Stevens shares the finer points of Japanese prints with museum visitors.
Distinguished Curator of Prints, Drawings and Photographs, Andrew Stevens, will retire on October 5, 2018. During his thirty years of service, Stevens doubled the size of the works on paper collection and planned more than ninety exhibitions, introducing many aspects of the collection( and loaned material) to the community. He hosted hundreds of classes in the Print Study, where students could examine artworks in person and he mentored many students who have gone on to careers in the museum field.
