Three recent Keele Music Graduates who have since progressed into Conservatoire PG Performance courses and University Masters Performance study return to present a combined recital. Alex Aylward (drum kit), a Master of Arts graduate in Creative Music Technology. Their repertoire consists of original arrangements which, not only feature extensive improvisation, but are seamlessly and playfully linked by it. Following in the tradition of the Jacques Loussier Trio, Dave Brubeck Quartet and Modern Jazz Quartet, the trio improvises on famous themes from classical music, opera and folk songs. Enjoy an evening rich in melody that explores the timeless art of improvisation. Dominic Alldis is a jazz pianist, singer and arranger. He is an Honorary Associate of the Royal Academy of Music, a Steinway Artist and has been part of the British jazz scene for over 30 years.
