Arts Guides Fall 2019 Preview: North Jersey | Page 72
In our case, the Art Fair itself is
integral to the non-profit mission.
We’re bringing an international art
fair to the Jersey City waterfront,
with high quality art from exhibi-
tors from New Jersey, New York
and around the world, and doing
it at minimal cost to the participat-
ing galleries and artists. Not only
is there the chance to sell art and
increase a collector base, but also
to make connections and create
opportunities and partnerships.
Participation in Art Fairs can cost
tens of thousands of dollars, and
an art fair without strong sales can
bankrupt a small or medium sized
gallery – but exhibitors at the 2nd
edition of Art Fair 14C will pay just
$741.35, plus a $40 application
fee.

experience for art lovers – the first

Art Fair would spin off to be its
own non-profit. The JCAC is pri-
marily an advocacy group, and
not in the business of running pro-
gramming. The JCAC may repeat
this in the future, nurturing an idea
or program that supports the arts,
then letting it emerge as a new
arts non-profit.
What are the costs involved for
an artist who would like to be
part of Art Fair14C?
The the only costs owed to Art
Fair 14C are the $40 application
fee for exhibitors (the Juried Show
