The Adelphi Orchestra is a pro-
fessional, non-profit orchestra
performing symphonic, chamber,
operatic, and dance concerts.
For the past 15 years, the orches-
tra has sponsored a Young Artist
Competition and held Young
Artist Concerts throughout New
Jersey and the New York metro-
politan area. Their commitment
to the next generation of musi-
cians is one aspect that sets the
orchestra apart.
Accordingly, the Adelphi Or-
chestra will be featuring Hikaru
Yonezaki, their 2019 Young Art-
ist Competition winner, in the or-
chestra’s opening season concert
Slavic Masters. Performances take
place on Friday, November 1 in
the River Dell Middle School Au-
ditorium and Saturday, November
2 at Good Shepherd Presbyterian
Church in New York City. Yonezaki
on violin will be featured as the
orchestra performs Borodin: In the
Steppes of Central Asia; Prokofiev:
Concerto Violin no 2 in G minor,
Op. 63; and Dvorak: Symphony no
7 in D minor, Op. 70/B 141.
