This month we are pleased to showcase the art of 14 students selected to appear in the Breckinridge County School District Calendar. We are proud to recognize these young artists. Students can also join the Breckinridge County Arts Guild for free with a parent's consent.
Also this month, we celebrate Labor Day, honoring the American labor movement and the contributions that workers have made to the strength, prosperity, and well-being of our country. The days of summer are coming to an end, and fall begins in Kentucky on the 23rd of this month. We have a great video by Julia Tivitt of beautiful flowers in a garden, and also a pictorial essay showing the beauty of Kentucky. Our cover photo is also by Julia Tivitt.
Our featured artist this month is Lois A. Tanner. Lois is an artist and a writer of poetry and short stories. Several of her writings are featured in our Poetry Corner and our Short Stories section this month, and also in past issues.
Sally Stith has contributed three new recipes to our Recipe Section. Check out these great recipes.
