As we launch the second issue of this magazine, we would like to express thanks to the many people who support us in this effort and others of The Breckinridge County Arts Guild. We are continuing to see rapid growth in our membership and also our subscribers to this magazine. It is an exciting time for the Art Guild. We just wrapped up our 2nd Annual Arts & Crafts Show. Also our first fine arts painting class this past month was a huge success and more classes will follow. We also have added free student memberships to the Guild and are working closely with the local schools to provide art curriculum to the students. From our beginnings in 2014, the Breckinridge County Arts Guild has worked to help promote and preserve the rich heritage of Kentucky arts and crafts in our county through encouragement, education, and exhibiting. We have grown from a small group of 10 members to a membership of over 60. We provide educational classes in the arts to both young and old. We also help create events that our residents can enjoy, such as our annual Arts and Crafts Show in June.
This is an especially full issue, since July is our nation's birthday, and July is also when we have our County Fair. Again, thanks for your support of this online magazine. This magazine is free to all. We only ask that you subscribe. By doing so, we will be able to create revenue from those who wish to advertise here. By subscribing, you will be helping to preserve and promote the arts and crafts in our community. The revenue from the ads will be used by the Breckinridge County Arts Guild to help support events, exhibits, and education in Breckinridge County and surrounding areas.
We invite anyone interested in promoting and preserving the arts and crafts to join us.
