EXPAND YOUR HORIZONS

See the world with elective immersion and short-term mobility units.
These units will place you in new situations and places that can be personally transformative, enhance cross-cultural awareness, build leadership skills, and generate community engagement experiences.
Immerse yourself in new cultures, put your academic and interpersonal skills to the test, learn to navigate unfamiliar places, and engage with the local people at your study trip destination. We currently offer two units each with an integrated study trip.
Discovering the Asia-Pacific study trips
This unit invites you to engage with a variety of themes and topics such as the environment, human development, everyday identities, democracy, and social movements across the countries of the Asia-Pacific region using classroom study and overseas travel to develop the skills and competencies to operate in culturally distinct situations and locations.
Community and the environment in Malaysia
This two-week intensive field-based unit is delivered through a series of study trips in the summer that encourages you, as well as stakeholders, to engage with the following topics: conservation, sustainability, and heritage.
My exchange was truly an unforgettable journey that reignited my passion for learning. With every event and class, I found myself outside of my comfort zone yet the people were engaging enough that I felt compelled to try my best. I expanded my knowledge through networking and engaging with local experts from wineries to the United Nations. I am eternally grateful for this opportunity and continue to use the lessons I have learnt to grow.”
