Zlatyu Boyadzhiev
Zlatyu Boyadzhiev was born on October 22, 1903 in Brezovo. He graduated from the Art Academy in Sofia
under Professor Tseno Todorov with Vasil Barakov, joined by David Peretz and formed the legendary group
Baratsi.
His work covers two major periods, separated from 1951 when he suffered a severe stroke and paralyzed to
his right half. In a few years he began painting with his left hand . The first period is characterized by a non-
classical manner when composing scenes of rural life. The second part of the artist's style changes radically
in the direction of grotesque imagery, the inclusion of dozens of figures in the compositions and expressive
coloring . She organizes solo exhibitions in Sofia and Plovdiv.
