The Gems of Art
Pratyusha Yera, EEE 4/4 is one among the famous
artists of GNITS. In her words, " Art is something by
which you can show or represent an intention of an
artist. It is skill of telling something without a word." She
believes and observes that every art form has a unique
specialty and new technique. And, the zeal of learning
them, inspires her. She prefers pencil sketches as she
feels most of the pictures, look more beautiful in black
and white than in color.
Mr. Srinivas drove her through her basics in oil painting, crayon and pencil
sketches during her classes 3-8. In B. Tech 2nd year, she restarted her journey
from scratch. She clears her creative block by looking up to other artists on
Instagram. Her instagram page @pratyu.px is a two year old, open account with
900 followers. Her one of the unforgettable moments with Artista, is to set up an
art's stall in Rang 2k18.
Her favorite art till date is the picture below. It is a charcoal and graphite mixed
media art. She chose this art as she loves children's innocent face and
according to her, their curves are incomparable. She used around 10 different
tools and 8 different pencils to complete the details on it. It took a cumulative
time of about 10hrs (5days) to make it.
