RED
Red was the title for Bruno Castro Santos first solo
exhibition.
The work on display, a group of 9 large format
drawings (152cm x 130cm) on watercolour paper
painted with an intense red pigment, and a panel of
12 small pen sketches, was the result of the artist´s
two year leaving in London where he experienced
the city and its vivid urban life on a daily basis.
Each work presented at the exhibition resulted
from an intended overlaying and merging of the
manhole cover sketches the artist made while on
his wandering London walks.
The exhibition opened with a private view on
December 5th, 2013 in the National Museum of
Natural History and Science, in Lisbon.
