A solid cast cubic-shaped house that has become an established miniature universe in Bertil Vallien ’ s workshop . This collection is typical of the artist in many ways , notably representing his sense of space . These works of glass seem haunted by a floating sphere , a head – or simply by emptiness . In Bertil ’ s many years of exploring the inherent magic of glass , he always wants us to discover its natural form . So , here again , the focus is all on the glass itself . It is beautiful , playful , verging on the impossible !
My Palace is part of Bertil Vallien ’ s anniversary collection , “ Bertil Vallien : 60 years with Kosta Boda ” ( 1963 – 2023 ), and is crafted at the Kosta Glassworks in Sweden .
