Making the perfect sandwich

Ever had those irresistible sandwiches that you reward yourself with as a snack? The flavors burst in your mouth creating a riot of different textures for you to experience. How lovely it is to look at and enjoy: the refreshing lettuce and tomatoes, warm and tender meat, melting cheese, all placed under two perfect slices of fresh bread with a pinch of your own seasoning. Making your own perfect speech is not very different! You need all the same exciting and inviting ingredients.

You start off with your top slice of bread. Add a drizzle of sesame to it to enrich its state. Notice how the sesame grabs a hold of your taste buds although it appears tiny. This should be your small, catchy introduction at the beginning of you speech before addressing the audience. These include quotes, experiences or stories relating to the topic. Once you have addressed your respected audience, introduce your topic immediately. Tell you audience a basic synopsis about the whole topic in general. Do you see how this slice grabs the audience, gives them time to thing about the introduction you have delivered during the time you address until you finally tell them what your topic truly is about?

Now we head off to make the most vital part of your sandwich: the yummy fillings! This layer does all the magic with its lettuce and tomato, cheese and the meat. Just like the fillings are divided into three, your speech should be too. Your lettuce and tomatoes should get into the topic. You do not get into very much detail. You just talk about it and don’t be shy to throw out a few facts. As you arrive at your cheese you start delving into details. You give strong points about your topic and by the end of this layer the audience should pretty much be through with the whole message you are trying to convey. Everyone loves a little story or an experience of your topic so have one ready as your meat. This meat supports your filling above and gives a clearer picture to your audience. Adding tiny experiences here and there in your speech is also fine as it makes your message more colorful and realistic!

Finally, we reach the last step where we gently position the last slice of bread. This slice needs to be handled with care. It needs to simply summarize everything you say and end with a quote or a message that will leave the audience astounded and at the edge of their seats. This whole sandwich that was made is not too small yet at the same time does not leave the audience stuffed. It is perfectly satisfying. THIS is how your speech should be. In the end, this sandwich is what you have created. It represents what you have to say. So speak with confidence and have fun. Now go ahead and make your own perfect sandwich!
