My thoughts
I’m personally not really a big fan of classical music, but I
don’t hate it either. It depends on the exact piece of music,
some sound really good to me, others more like lullabies.
So I wasn’t really looking forward to it since I could spend
my evening on a ‘better’ way. In the end I can say that it
was pretty good though I was not amazed by it. In the first
part Simone did a real good job especially with the higher
notes. She seemed to have crawled into the music and she was absolutely engaged with her violin.
This was nice to see and to hear. In the second part the conductor stood out in a good way. I still
don’t understand how you can give a tempo and a beat etc. and unify the orchestra by hand
gestures. This basically means I’m impressed anyway. However he just seemed excellent and very
passionate about it and if I’m going to watch someone perform, I’d like them to love what they are
doing. I did think the piece was ͽ
