Mona Lisa well known as “La Jeoconda.” Museum of louvre, France.
She was born in the France of 1503-1509, and was a beloved neighbor of the famous artist Leonardo d’ Vinci. Mona was a beautiful model of the Renascence Era; she was even pregnant at the time of being portrayed in this amazing piece of art.
Mona Lisa will be remembering to be considered as the most famous painting of all times due to many theories that surround the protagonist’s identity and the theft the picture suffered on August 21 of 1911. In 1572, La Jeoconda passed into the French King Francisco the first. It was bought it for twelve gold francs days later, his creator d’ Vinci, died. When the king died, the painting was exhibited in the palace of Versailles during the reign of Louis XIV. Later, it was moved to the Museum of louvre in 1797, to stay there today.
