Interview to a painting artist.
Amed Enriquez Quesada
1. What is your name?
My name is Amed Enriquez Quesada
2. Where do you live?
I live in Nicoya, Guanacaste
3. What is your occupation?
I am a student at Universidad Nacional
4. In your opinion, how do you define “art”?
Art is the most beautiful way to express our feeling about something or our identity.
5. In which ways can art be expressed?
At lot of ways, for examples, painting you can express if you feel angry or in music you can smile, cry or laugh, in dancing you can express love and happiness. In art you can express everything, mostly emotions.
6. What branches of art do you like the most?
Of course painting, but I like music too. For me those are the most beautiful because you can express emotions, you can find emotions that you never knew you can feel, and a lot of things you can find there in a simple or in a very explicit way.
7. What art branches are the ones in which you express or inspire yourself better?
Again, painting and music. Painting because all I have learnt for my work, and music even though I am not a singer or a songwriter. I feel they are an extension of me, about who I am.
8. Tell me about projects you have done as a painter?
Some projects that I have done as a painting artist are mostly in the community, especially murals that make sense of Guanacaste’ region. Those mural can be seen in the central park of Nicoya and the house of culture. I also did a work piece for the Universidad Nacional by painting the lactations room in Nicoya’s campus, and the next project I have is to paint a lactation room of Alajuela’s campus
