Despite the fact that illustration is getting popular, artists lost their rights to be paid above the minimum wage frequently. They are chased by the deadlines or sometimes their works are used illegally, without notice which is violated to their copyrights. Also, the company finds artist that they can pay less so artists should compete with each other seriously. (extracted from the article-World daily; posted 08-02-2004) Illustration is part of visual design but its weak foothold makes illustrators frustrated. Also, most people do not perceive illustration is part of art, which makes artists sad. The most important thing to help them is change our perception towards them. As one field of visual
design, we should recognize illustration and their efforts that are contained in their works. Changes in
perception contribute to enrich one more art field to be active and healthy.
