why did you choose roses in your roses collection?
I did not choose them. Those were the flowers that hap-
pened to be on the dress of my muse.
You have roses traveling across the universe, why?
I am captivated by space and space exploration. I often
think about the mind-boggling scale of the universe, how
small we are, and how many other intelligent civilizations
are out there. I believe there are millions.
What’s your dream project? Why?
I would like to start creating large-scale, interactive pieces,
such as murals and sculptures, that place my creations in
the real world.
Do your monsters take place in your every activity?
Monsters are everywhere. It just depends on how you
look at the world.
If your monsters were real would they get along in
today’s world?
My monsters are real. They’re caricatures of the people I see
every day.
