ART MADNESS Vol 02 Summer Edition | Page 14

What do you think art gives you? Now let’s jump to Vol 02 special question: If you’re drunk in a forest and you have a shotgun and there is a couple of bullets, lighter and a pack of cigarettes in your pocket, and there are 4 lions attacking your tent! what you will do? I assume that if I’m drunk, in a forest alone, carrying a loaded gun (I hate violence) and cigarettes (I hate ciga- rettes even more), and somehow I managed to build a tent even though my knowledge of such a skill is inex- istent, I assume in that situation that I must either have escaped a mental health institute, or am planning to commit suicide, or I’m in an episode of the Walking Dead. But of course, it’s none of those. I am just dreaming, because I know that lions don’t live in forests. And I know that the need to carry a gun in my dream is a meta- phor for the fact that in real life maybe I am not feeling safe or something. Oh and that’s not my pack of ciga- rettes by the way, I stole it from a friend who I wish would stop smoking. And I’m still so drunk after that Berlin club that I act drunk in my dream too, natürlich. I can see the lions attacking the tent because I’m not inside it. As I said, I don’t know how to build a tent. And the lions are not actually attacking it, they’re just assembling it into a sort of pile so that I can use the lighter to set it on fire and finally we can chill around the barbecue and catch up. My lion friends live in Africa, so obviously I don’t see them very often. Finally, I shot the two bullets up in the air to call my friend the eagle, it’s the only way he can hear me because he flies at cloud-level. I said I’d let him know if I was around for a drink. Art gives me a voice. It provides the medium for how I want to express myself, how I want to be heard in the world. What’s your philosophy in life? Be different, be yourself. Pursue your pas- sion, stand up for your beliefs. Be vegetarian – or vegan if you have the balls (personally I can’t quite yet give up halloumi and eggs). Finally, question EVERYTHING. We are born in a chaos of societal constructs. Make your own opinion of this world, and find a way of life that makes you want to get out of bed in the morning, that makes you happy. What do you think about love? I think love is life, and if you managed to live a life without love you haven’t really lived, you have just survived. Love is my meaning of life, it’s what motivates me to live. I’m not saying self-love, as that’s difficult for me to achieve, but love you get from other people. Love is a connection. We all have insecurities and stuff, but we all crave for love and con- nection. We are works in progress coming together to try and find a meaning to this life. What’s your biggest fear & how do you deal with it? I have an irrational fear of needles and I simply don’t deal with it. People don’t really understand me because you see, I’ve got 25 tattoos. But for some reason I don’t mind tattoo needles, maybe because they don’t go deep and are not so thin. I do mind blood tests syringes, vaccines and stuff like that. I’ve never let any doctor do a blood test on me. I’m waiting for medical technol- ogy to be advanced enough so that they can check my blood with a sort of x-ray machine instead *praying emoji*. What’s your favourite food, song and movie? why? My favourite food is Brambilla's vegan doughnuts, here in Berlin. I can eat four in one go. My favourite song is Bye Bye Maca- damia by French electronic composer Rone. It’s got such an exhilarating beat, it makes me want to dance every single time. My favourite movie is Inception because it is about dreams and it inspired my art greatly. What makes you angry & why? The meat/fish/fur industry. I hate people who hate animals and don’t respect them. I also hate men who lack feminine energy and who think women are objects created to satisfy them. I despise men who feel they have the right to cat-call women or comment how we’re dressed. I hate mansplaining and how some men think they’re superior to wom- en. I, like many women, experience sexual harass- ment on the streets on a daily basis. It’s humiliating. Men who respect women do not do it. I’d use my two bullets from your last question on cat-calling builders if I could avoid prison 15
