step inside, creating a contemplative inner space that allowed the inhabitants to observe themselves and their surroundings. And yet, once inside, the viewer wasn ' t alone. A present absence was strongly felt, as the work encased an imprint of the first dweller of this cell, thus inviting the sensitive resident to share my space.
