figurative. He gave me the idea to work
with materials that did have a life of their
own such as cement.
ART Habens
full force of my work, how it impacts
them instantly whether they hate it or
love it, the impact has been made. I think
art has to penetrate the public sphere, it
needs to awaken peoples’ minds and
views on what art is. Art can be touched,
it can be interactive if you allow it to be.
It doesn’t have to be a “story book” for
you to read. Sometimes it is more
exciting for the viewer to create their
own story of what they see and feel.
I love working on large canvases because
I feel it maximises the impact to the
viewer. I also think that it can change the
ambience of a room instantly. I want
people to walk into a room and feel the
