ART Habens Sharone Reef done, I carefully apply water or oil base finish to seal and preserve my artwork. use the energy that comes with each color to make a statement. I am not afraid to create with bold, passionate colors to share my visions. Yet my gentle, kind soul also finds ways to combine calm, healing and comfort in my art. When I create, I am guided by my inner voice, ushering each step, and every stroke and burn mark. There's something to be said about the therapeutic peace that comes with prepping a piece of wood; running your fingers with the grain, peeling the bark, cleaning and sanding; examining the way it has become, the colors, the bark, the natural and so unique beauty; connecting and allowing your mind to flow until the wood and you both agree on what your collaborating piece will look like at the end. It is a personal connection, similar to the connection I develop with my students. A very open minded being, I am accepting and loving of all that the universe so precisely places on my path. I view struggles and every coming of a halt as an opportunity to re-examine, sort deep, reflect and problem solve, finding new ways to stretch out of the box and try something I have never tried before. My inquisitive, inventive mind strives on challenges and always examines every detail in many different perspectives. I allow my mind the freedom to climb out of the box and search for undiscovered lands. Thankfully, my attention to details and colors illustrate my daring vivid imagination. Being so passionate about everything I do in life, especially my art, I allow my mind to flow, to learn, to wander, to connect and to create with no attention to rules or expectations. Holding a piece of wood is like holding a book you cannot put down. Each piece of wood offers a new setting, which comes with an aroma, with a character, with texture and color, with a story to tell. Recognizing and accepting that each experience, like each piece of wood is unique, gives me an opportunity to freely explore, express and run with my vision.
