PUBLISH A
PHOTO OF YOU?
I majored in illustration but I
always felt I wasn’t in the right
direction for my career.
Illustration is a universal image,
which is more close to visual
design. The imagery in illustration
should make sense to everyone
at a first glance, and it’s usually
for delivering messages to
promote things such as products
and services. What I wanted to
achieve in my art was exploring
the human nature and sharing
them with the viewers. I’m still in
the process of developing my art
in a way of breaking the styles
Yirang Kim
that I had since I was in school,
and going back to my childhood
art where I was more free in
expressing my inner world.
