many different ways of making and
thinking about visual language,
pushing me to be a student of the
enormity of art making and breaking
past my personal preferences. I was
surrounded by so many brilliant
artists, both in the form of peers and
professors, that I feel I took a piece
of each of them home with me,
learning either different ways to
expand my physical process or
artistic perspectives. At times I will
still find myself, almost 15 years out
of graduate school, accessing these
different processes or perspectives in
my work.
