Heath ledger and Jake Gyllenhaal brilliantly set down the characters of Jack and Ennis. It’s interesting to see how the two characters both handle differently with the situation. Ennis keeps remembering his father, who showed him two gays beaten up next to the road. He has a huge struggle to accept its own nature. On the other hand there’s jack who is more enthusiastic. He asked Ennis several times to live together but Ennis rejected that. Underneath the surface there are a lot of intense emotions. But as a movie viewer you very strongly sense them. The devastating affair of Jack and Ennis leaves you behind with mixed feelings of both sadness and loving So I wish I still had to see this movie for the first time. I’m jealous at the people who haven’t seen this movie yet, because they still have this whole experience ahead of them.
