

With the latest technology, the gum contouring does not require a tedious surgical
process, therefore, becomes a fairly pain free procedure.
Recovery
 After
the procedure, your surgeon may instruct you to wear a dressing over the
affected area for a week, sometimes longer. The possible symptoms that you may
experience include tooth sensitivity, pain, or minor swelling, however, they are
temporary and go away as soon as your new gum line is healed.
 You
must also avoid cigarette and alcohol for a few days and use a straw to consume
your beverages. Also, you may only eat certain foods that are suggested by your dentist
or oral surgeon until your gum line is fully recovered. Moreover, you must also give
consideration to your brushing technique and strictly follow your dentist’s advice to
ensure you do not hurt your treated area of the gum.
