Head to Smith’s and try 20-plus varieties of apples, available already picked or ready for u-pick. They also make delicious fresh-pressed cider with apples from the farm. Spokane Road, Mead | 509-238-6242 Take a “mini vacation” to Siemers Farm and get the best view of Mount Spokane in the area! Siemers offers reasonably priced snack foods and beverages, a fully stocked gift shop, and free wagon rides on weekend days. Make sure to sit at their free picnic area and try their homemade apple cider and caramel apples. If you’re bringing the kids, you’ll definitely want to stop at Siemers Farm. Green Bluff Road, Colbert | 509-238-9545 The big red barn with country charm is open seven days per week, 9am-5pm or later (hours subject to change). Visit their locally-famous country store with gifts, antiques, and quality décor. Take a trip to the orchard for u-pick or choose from their large selection of pre-picked fruit.
