Balanced wines fit the wide
spectrum of autumn’s cuisine
By Eric Cook
Fresh on the heels of a warm summer and in the midst of the
season of gratitude, wine holds the flavors of a table together
– not with the mighty flavor of winter’s wines nor the delicate
dialects that tease out spring’s cuisine. Wines of autumn
balance flavor intensity, alcohol and zingy acidity against the
counterweight of the year’s broadest assortment of fresh food.
