ue to my traveling the world in the Navy, and various other trips taken, I know my next destination of choice would be
Europe.
Art Chowder: Where can your admirers find your art?
Larry: As a member of RRAFA, I display art in a variety of venues from month-to-month, such as restaurants, wineries, coffee
houses, and galleries. In the past, I’ve hung art at Angel Gallery in Coeur d’Alene, The Great Frame Up in the Northtown Mall,
Spokane Gallery and Framing in Spokane Valley, the Wild Goose Gallery on North Monroe, and Barrister Winery in downtown
Spokane. My train drawings are displayed for sale at the Inland Northwest Rail Museum in Reardan, and you can always find a
current schedule of where I am showing my art on my Etsy page at www.visionsinblackandwhite.com.
Art Chowder: Great! One last question. If you were to encourage a new artist, what advice would you give?
Larry: For someone just starting out and not sure what style or method of art they’d like to develop I would suggest, initially,
viewing other artists’ work. You will invariably come across a drawing or painting that sparks your interest. When you find it
and are able to tell yourself, “I think I can do that,” or, “You know, I’d like to paint or draw like that,” then get started! That may
mean taking classes or just picking up a pen or brush. Taking a few classes will help get you focused on what you like the best,
and at the same time expose you to various art forms. The journey will be a fun-filled art adventure, either as a professional, or
just for your own enjoyment.
