Melissa Burns - I was born and raised in Spokane
and grew up learning about art/culture and sales from
my father. I spent a few years on the other side of the
state strengthening my sales background working
for my uncle while going to school for business and
marketing. We are building a strong group of people
dedicated to marketing artists and their work, as well
as grow our relationship in the food, and entertain-
ment world. I am dedicated to bringing Art Chowder
to new heights and bringing all art lovers and artists
in the region along with us for the ride. Chelsea Cordova has long been enthusiastic about the

Olivia Brownlee - LA born and Spokane bred, Olivia
has been wrangling words from an early age, largely
through her career as a songwriter, performer, and
recording artist. Combined with a Bachelor of Arts
in Theatre (Eastern WA University) and a Master in
Theatre for Social Change (Emerson College), her
education, experiences, and interests led her to buy
dozens of books on language, anthropology, foreign
policy, and cartography. She transplanted back to Spo-
kane area this year and is in the process of developing
a written and practical curriculum on the linguistic and
communal properties of music. Chandler Baird - When I moved to Spokane in 2014,
I had two questions: “What is there do in Spokane,
Washington?” and “Where can I buy a raincoat?”
Three years later, I can say I have found a raincoat and
I have fallen in love with this city I call home. I am an
almost six-foot-tall Texan girl who found myself in the
Pacific Northwest. I discovered my passion for food
and travel in college when I studied abroad in Europe
and Asia. This allowed me to master the art of multi-
media storytelling. Now, living in Spokane, my curiosity
allows me to continue to seek out the food, communi-
ties, and businesses that make this city unique.
Janis V. Bers - My zodiac sign of Gemini couldn’t be
more appropriate! My extensive and varied careers
in broadcasting, audio/visual production and creative
writing have been split equally between and equally
rewarded by Great Britain and the United States. It’s
this international “twinning” that has offered me a very
broad overview of the wide world of performing arts. Karen Conrad was born and raised in Maitland, Florida
where she joined the Navy and saw the world. She
retired with her husband in St. Maries, Idaho after 28
years working for the U.S. Army. Karen is an avid oil
painter and member of the Coeur d’Alene Art Associa-
tion, Plein Air Painters of Idaho and Arts Wallace.
