Smiling Does Not Hurt...
I am really dating myself here but with all the heavy news and division we are facing in the news today, my mind
wanders off to an old Coca-Cola TV commercial. For all of us old enough to remember this commercial, you are
welcome for the ear bug.

I have no delusions that Art Chowder magazine can accomplish this alone, however, maybe we can contribute a tiny
chip that will make a difference. In this issue we have created a win-win partnership with Ronald McDonald House
Charities; we will be donating all subscription profits to them, presenting an award check at the Issue 18 Release Party
to be held at Spokane Gallery on December 20th. With your new subscription, you will get six great issues of Art
Chowder magazine delivered in the mail and you will help families with sick children when they need it the most.
In time for the holidays, for that “always-wanted-to-but-never-had-the-time person,” we are also working with All
Guru Travel Agency to create a “once in a lifetime” art tour of Italy! No need to plan anything, let the pros do it for
you. Just sit back and be led on a life-changing experience. This would make a great Christmas gift!
With all the updates from our regional art associations, great articles and opportunities to support the arts and artists,
we hope that we can create a smile in your day … go ahead … it does not hurt to smile, and smiles are best when they
are shared with others.
