of raw fish atop a bed of sticky rice . It is as beautiful and refined as the rest of the menu .
In my opinion , any chirashi bowl this deep into downtown Portland that ’ s under $ 30 is worth checking out , and this one is guaranteed to be beautiful , fresh , and absolutely delicious .
My students enjoyed all the sushi that they tried , but seeing their warm , litup smiles as they recounted scoring perfect , plump nigiri and rolls with bright flavors on expertly cooked rice from Fish-San , ran home how lucky PSU is to have a little slice of Japanese heaven right there on campus . It ’ s hard to put a price on a lunch break that feels like luxury , but the fact Fish-San is affordable enough for students and postgrads alike warms my heart .
