The Buffalo is called “Wrath”, this animal is hunted everywhere and is also called “Black-death” by hunters, in this painting I tried depicting the feeling of the animal, therefore this heavy close up where you can see the eyes of the animal, the window to its soul, and this one is angry and stares straight through you. If you had not become an artist what other career do you believe you may have pursued? Because I grew up close to the Kruger National Park I always had a love for wildlife. After finishing school I was very interested in becoming a game ranger, but life happened and it didn’t work out that way. What are some of the most meaningful responses that you have had to your work?
