Allison is very grateful for the robust fiber arts community and culture of learning and passing on of techniques , especially when getting started . In our interview , she attributes her success and love of the craft to many local other artisans in the Moscow , Idaho area and in Montana , to where she has relocated . She mentioned that everywhere she has lived the fiber arts community has not only embraced her , but introduced her to local weavers , exposed her to new techniques , and passionately included her in the handing down and continuance of the art form . “ I am amazed and humbled by the generosity of the fiber arts community and their willingness to share their knowledge to help new weavers and spinners get started .”
The long and historic history of fiber arts continues to be handed down due to the passion and purpose of artists that are intent on sharing the art with new generations .
