Through program sponsorships, the A & C has a plan for young artists too. Kids Draw Architecture pairs aspiring artists, age 10 and up, with local experts as they walk through downtown CdA sketching architecture. Youth learn about how construction and style represents the city’ s culture.“[ They ] need the history behind the art,” says Shute.

The Coeur d’ Alene Artists Studio Tour is a two-day event( June 9th and 10th, 2018) that showcases the work of 25 local artists at 12 studios in the greater Coeur d’ Alene area. All featured artists have a profile page in the color program- the Tour provides a wonderful opportunity for artists and art enthusiasts to meet in a relaxed atmosphere.

Another stress-free environment for networking is Arts Buzz. On the first Friday of every month, the chatter of artists and performers hums in the halls of the CdA Chamber of Commerce. Collaborations, plans, and general scuttlebutt are shared- both emerging and esteemed artists can benefit from the exchange.

The Coeur d’ Alene arts community comes full circle, as the Executive Director of the Coeur d’ Alene Arts and Culture Alliance is also a member of the CdA Arts Commission, strengthening the inter-connectedness of the arts community from the city through the organizations and to the artist.
