Ironically at that same time the Program Director at 97 KREM was also
moving to a larger market and recommended Rob to replace him in
that capacity. This presented Rob with a huge dilemma: whether to
continue expanding into larger markets or to raise his status via radio
management in Spokane. Eventually the General Manager at KREM
talked him into coming and taking over the “helm” of the station. With
this additional managerial status, Rob advanced not only as a DJ but
also as a Program Director.
