Photographer Ansel Adams doesn’ t tell a story. He is not concerned with current events. His eye is on the sublime, the mysterious and evanescent perceptions of wonders of nature in the American West. He did not take“ snapshots.” His photographs in black and white required long hours in the darkroom. If anybody ever wonders whether photographers are“ artists,” Ansel Adams is one.
