The Capitol Hill Block Party in Seattle is also one of Beard ’ s favorites . Their website says “ Unlike your typical festival experience , Capitol Hill Block Party showcases some of the city ’ s best local bars , restaurants , and retail shops alongside international , national , and local artists , art shows , community events , and political activism .” There are six stages that primarily promote local and regional talent .
