a student of the mind and human behavior . It ’ s what enabled her to infuse predictably plausible actions in her novels . To write the stories of conspiracy and international intrigue , she had to study the criminal mind , the psychotic mind , the diabolical , and the anti-social , and become very familiar with them .
“ As a writer , I would like to help you change your perception . In each of the White King books , I shifted my point of view , not only from a different angle , but from above as well , and from the point of view of the enemy . In the latest book , I was writing about a global situation so I had to go way up — a god ’ s point of view , if you will . I looked from the top down at seemingly unrelated events and was able to connect flashpoints , in the United States and around the world , in areas of turmoil , fighting , and discontent , and when I did , a different picture emerged .” That picture is the story of “ White King and the Seat at the Table .”
People tend to devalue fiction , but the audience is bigger than for non-fiction . It is also a different audience — younger , more diverse — an audience that loves stories and likes to learn from stories and games .
Such buttons can attract attention and help people solve problems , but they can also be used by bad guys for just the reverse , and that ’ s what led her to write about propaganda warfare .

A fiction writer can attack a situation from the standpoint of good and evil . This book is an allegory with good against evil being played out at the highest possible level . What happens to a reader of fiction , especially with heroes and villains , is that the reader starts to identify with the hero and reject the villain . When they put the book down and go on with their life , they begin to recognize that what they are hearing or seeing in the real world is something akin to what was in the novel , and they begin to think about how the story relates to their life .
