REGIONAL REPORT
SPOKANE ARTS
O
rganizers worked to craft the schedule so that any theater
or group wanting to participate could at least have a presence
at one of the venues, for TheaterFest audiences to learn about
who they are and what they do.
“It’s a testament to the vibrancy of the region’s cultural scene,”
said Spokane Symphony Public Relations Manager Alison
Highberger. “Our hope is to continue growing the event so
that even more community members are able to engage with
arts and culture through TheaterFest, and to help generate
excitement about the incredible offerings available in music,
dance, theater, and more.”
Community members interested in attending TheaterFest can
preview the day’s schedule via http://www.spokanetheaterfest.
com, as well as find more information on all the participating
performers. Events at the Martin Woldson Theater at the
Fox will run from 1-4pm, while those at the Bing Crosby
Theater will run from 2-5pm. All TheaterFest programming
at both venues is free and open to the public, with no tickets
or pre-registration required. All TheaterFest programming is
family-friendly unless specifically noted on the schedule, and
concessions will be available for purchase.
“It’s like a choose-your-own adventure,” said Spokane Arts
Program Manager Mika Maloney.

“There will be performances and activities running
throughout the afternoon at both venues, so you could
plan ahead for what you most want to see and build your
own schedule, or you can just show up and dip in and out,
depending on what piques your interest.”
