Freeland , Savannah Ervin-Villa , Thom Caraway , Nanette Josephine Cloud , and Jim Furry have all been working away on a few projects that will , for the most part , be premiering at Lilac City Comicon . “ So far , it ’ s been an amazing experience . “ Right now , I ’ m working on a comics series called “ After ”. It explores what happens to people after they pass on and what they take with them into the afterlife . It ’ s about people coming to terms with who they were and how that affects this final chapter in their lives ,” said Freeland about his latest work .
When asked about the other artists he appreciates , Freeland said , “ Currently , my favorite comics creators are Ho Che Anderson and Ezra Claytan Daniels . Both of them are quietly reinventing the science fiction genre and everything they make is incredible . My all-time favorites are probably Marjane Satrapi , Stan Sakai , and Paul Chadwick . I would consider all of them big influences on my work . They have all made stories that I can
