Speaking as a strong Gryffindor, I find them sometimes cruel, but very misunderstood. It's my second favourite house for 1 reason, because of their ability to strive for what they want. I find this very admirable and it overpowers their many flaws. @expelliarmus46
I like Slytherin, I'm a Slytherin myself. We strive for what we want, we are powerful and we protect the people we love no matter what. And just because the bad guys are in Slytherin doesn't mean that all Slytherins are bad guys. We are very misunderstood which is sad. Slytherins are usually quite sassy and let's be honest, who doesn't love a little sass? Ok alot of sass. @_indiesoul
Many people describe Slytherin as the 'evil' of the four houses, however they often forget that the sorting hat originally wanted to put Harry into Slytherin. Harry isn't an evil person, therefore I don't believe Slytherin is the house for evil people. I think Slytherin is about being cunning and strong-willed - not brave, that's a Gryffindor trait - and I guess feeling like you have power over people. These aren't necessarily bad traits, however they can be used to do bad things, hence why people believe Slytherin is the evil house.
